• Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, lighting, control panels, and distribution systems
• Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
• Diagnosing electrical faults and carrying out timely repairs to minimize production downtime
• Ensuring all electrical work complies with PNG electrical regulations, company policies, and safety standards
• Responding promptly to electrical breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
• Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new machinery and plant equipment
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection reports
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and energy efficiency
• Working collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to ensure smooth plant operations
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience as an industrial or facilities electrician, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and industrial electrical installations
• Sound understanding of preventative maintenance practices and fault-finding techniques
• Knowledge of workplace health, safety, and electrical compliance requirements
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical documentation
• Good problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including shift work and emergency call-outs when required
• Trade Certificate in Electrical or equivalent recognized electrical qualification
